Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation, (previously known as Camp Kookaburra) was founded in 2002 by Dianne Madden who through personal experience identified the lack of support for children living in a family affected by mental illness. All children who are affected by parents or other family members with a mental illness deserve to be supported, valued and provided the opportunity to strive toward their potential. Our purpose is to provide intervention and education in a fun way through camp and activity programs. To facilitate unforgettable experiences for children giving them a break from their caring role and a safe environment to share their experiences with children living in similar situations. To deliver life changing outcomes that positively affect the lives of kids in Australia.

The Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of NSW Inc (CAPA NSW) is the largest professional association for counsellors and psychotherapists in New South Wales. It is a non-profit organisation and a member association of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). All CAPA NSW members are required to meet its rigorous requirements for membership, and must be both experienced and qualified practitioners. Professional counselling usually refers to shorter-term treatment for a particular issue for an individual, couple or family. Psychotherapy usually refers to longer-term treatment for more complex issues with the aim of bringing about change at a fundamental level. Recognising the special needs of rural communities, CAPA NSW members provide counselling and therapy services across NSW. To assist members of the public to find a suitable practitioner, CAPA NSW provides a listing on its website of members by name, postcode, therapeutic specialty and languages spoken: www.capa.asn.au

"The Brown Nurses Ministry is committed to the service of people who are unable to access health care and welfare support. These are people who are disadvantaged, marginalised and often live in impoverished circumstances, suffering mental illness, the long-term consequences of drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness and dysfunctional families. Our service provides an integrated holistic model of care to enable our clients to remain at home and to live with a reasonable degree of dignity and security. Our in-home carers, who are registered nurses, supervise the health status and personal care of our clients. They offer domestic support and advocacy, if required. When needed and appropriate, our in-home carers exercise advocacy on behalf of our clients to ensure their rightful access to welfare and medical services. The care offered to our clients is one based on trust. It is a relational form of care in which our clients are assisted to live with hope and new directions in their lives. Our service is given free of charge, according to individual need and circumstances and regardless of religious affiliation."
